Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE tattoos. As long as the artwork and placement are great I am down. Hell if your tramp stamp is well designed I might even tell you I like it... even if I don't really like tramp stamps. I myself only have three tattoos so far. I'm saving up some money for my next one and as soon as I make my appointment I'm going back under the needle.
I thought I'd share with you my three tattoos so you can get to know more about me.
My first tattoo is my key tattoo. Done by RayRay when he was at Almighty Tattoo in Grand Blanc, MI. This tattoo I designed myself. I took the top half of Sailor Pluto's time key, tweeked it a bit and added a skeleton key bottom. I think RayRay did a great job with the shading and I get so many compliments on it because it's my one tattoo that gets shown the most.
My second tattoo is the lyrics "Each broken heart will eventually mend." from Death Cab for Cutie. I have loved that line since I was way back in high school and I knew I wanted it as a tattoo. I am really drawn to script/lyrics/quotes tattoos even though I know as you get older a lot of the time they become ineligible. This tattoo was done by Chris Hornus while he was working out of Consolidated Ink & Steel in Flint, MI. He has his own shop now in Durand.
My third (and last until I get my appointment) is my alarm clock with blinking eights on it. The idea came from the band Dashboard Confessional, in one of their songs they have the lyric, "You're measuring your minutes by a clock that's blinking eights." Once again this tattoo is the genius work of RayRay while he was still at Almighty Tattoo in Grand Blanc. I really only had a vague idea of what I wanted when I brought him my idea. The shading alone took two hours and this tattoo isn't very large. (Although it's my biggest tattoo so far.) RayRay did an awesome job and I have no complaints from him. He was even using this tattoo on his online portfolio! This one is pretty original if you ask me. Last summer when I was at the beach I kept getting stared at by this group of girls and I had NO clue why. They finally approached me and were asking about my tattoo and what it was. That's always cool, people asking me about my tattoos and showing me theirs.
How about you guys? Any awesome tattoos you want to show or talk about?
That's all for now!

My Current Makeup Favorites
Let's get one thing straight, I love makeup. I love all kinds of makeup. I usually go through spurts of having certain favorites that I use in my daily routine so I thought I'd share with you my current favorites. (Clockwise from 5 o'clock!)
1) Ben Nye eyeshadow in tangerine
2) Urban Decay eyeshadow in kiddie pool
3) Benefit Highlighter in watts up
4) Sephora bronzer/shimmer in aruba
1) Ben Nye - Tangerine
I bought this eyeshadow on my recent trip to NYC. I have been salivating after Ben Nye since I was in high school and there aren't any places around my area that sell it. So when I brought this home I instantly knew it was love.
2) Urban Decay - Kiddie Pool
I think this might be my favorite Urban eyeshadow that I own. I use it so much and I love how the blue looks with my brown eyes. Maybe that's weird? Yeah anyway - like I said this has probably been on my current favorites since I bought it I think almost two years ago! Nothing else usually stays on my current favorites for that length of time.
3)Benefit - Watts Up
Let me start by saying I have never used a highlighter until now. I got this sample sized highlighter in my Sephora birthday goodie bag back in April. At first I didn't think I'd use it, but who am I to not try something out? I'm glad I did because I love it! It's the perfect shade and I love the travel size bottle because it comes practically everywhere with me.
4)Sephora - Aruba
I don't want people thinking I'm some orange looking tan person so I normally am weary about bronzers. But seeing as I work 7days a week inside I don't get much sun and am starting to look a little like Pam De Beaufort.(Anybody?) Basically I'm a living, breathing Casper. So this bronzer has the perfect balance of color and shimmer to look like a natural glowing tan. And hey, who doesn't like avoiding skin cancer?
What are your favorite makeup items that you use in your daily routine?
Adios for now! xoxo

Class List Fall 2013
BUS 250 - Contemporary Legal Issues for Business
BUS 330 - Principles of Marketing
BUS 371 - Operations Management
PHIL 101 - Intro to Philosophy (Don't you just LOVE general education classes?)
This being said, I have really no idea about any of these classes other than I have to take them to graduate, and they fit into my work schedule pretty decently. The BUS 371 class is an online class, and I'm kind of apprehensive about taking it because I've never had an online class before. The only reason I signed up for it is because I've had the professor in class before and I really like her. So hopefully her teaching style translates okay over the internet! Anybody else have experiences with online classes? Good or bad, let me know about them!

Favorite Shows, but sometimes only certain seasons
To get to know me more I figured I'd let you know about a few of my favorite shows... so here goes! My only problem is sometimes I think I really like a show and as I'm watching it I find out I only like a few seasons on it.. which is sometimes such a bummer. Here you have a great show and something absolutely RUINS it. Like bad writing or new characters that are crummy, or a mix of both. But here are my favorites, seasons included!
Greys Anatomy (Season 1 and Season 2)
Let's be honest here, Meredith is me. She's snarky, sarcastic, doesn't trust anybody and helplessly trying to be an adult. I have always related to her, although I think I might be a tad bit more happy. (Or I'd like to think so!) My problem with the show is it got so UNREALISTIC. I have heard reports that current seasons have gotten better, but Greys had its chance with me and the only two good seasons are season 1 and 2. The writers came up with a TON of good one liners so if you like sarcastic/depressing humor give it a shout. I won't even hold it against you if you watch past where I stopped watching!
Game of Thrones
As I said in my last post this show is AWESOME. I kind of already ranted about it last post so I'll keep in to a dull roar. Whether you love these characters or hate them you will not be able to stop watching because this show is so full of plot twists you won't be able to tell up from down when you're done!
GIRLS
Girls is a pretty new HBO show that I got into the last few months. Season 2 just ended I think around December so I'm thinking season 3 will be starting HOPEFULLY soon. :) Lena Dunham writes/directs/stars in this girly show about these 20somethings trying to live in NYC. These characters have graduated from college and now the question is... now what? These girls are trying to hold minimum wage jobs and still pay rent on time. And don't forget the trials of boys and drama built into the mix. I also LOVE that Lena Dunham stars in her own show and takes every episode to show the world she is NOT a size 0 working in Hollywood. You go girl!
True Blood
True Blood is another HBO show that I cannot seem to get enough of. Now I can predict what you're thinking.... oh god she jumped on the vampire bandwagon. Fear not, this show is so off the beaten trail that I can't really begin how to tell you how good it is. A word of warning, it IS a little raunchy so definitely not a show to bring home to family night.
I'm sure there are more that I could include but these are really the only ones I could think of right now. What are some of your favorite shows? Be sure to let me know! Adios for now! xoxo Kath

What I've been reading lately.....
I'm a pretty big reader so I figured something that can help me blog more is talking about what books I am currently reading. So here goes!
I've caught on the bandwagon and been dragged across the globe reading (and watching the series) Game of Thrones. Or A Song of Ice and Fire. Whatever you want to call it the whole thing is AMAZING. I highly suggest reading, watching the show, or both like I am!
I don't want to ruin anything for the people who might be interested but it's a fantastic fantasy series full of magic, dragons, feuding families, and family loyalty. And best of all each book is pretty long and it takes me a little while to read them. I'm a pretty fast reader and I devour books in a day or two. But the song of ice & fire series usually takes me a little over a week to read.... which I LOVE. Because it keeps me entertained and I feel like I'm getting my moneys worth out of the book.
Another book I just recently purchasd (but haven't started reading yet) is "Dear Girls Above Me: Inspired by a True Story"by Charles McDowell. I originally started following his twitter with the same name. He writes about these girls who live above him and some of the quotes on his twitter are hilarious!
Case in point. But anyway, the book just arrived at my moms house today and I have to go pick it up before I can read it!
Well adios for now!

Dear GAM, "His profile says that he's into haikus. Perfect, I love sushi!" A chef he is not. Looks like you boned a poet. Nicely done Cathy.
